President & Principal
Kyle founded PQS in 1999, like many entrepreneurs – in the garage in his backyard with his dog.  As president, Kyle works around the clock supporting his clients while continuing to build PQS each year. Although he primarily focuses on strategic accounts, Kyle also supports product and service delivery, ensuring the sales team has a well-defined strategy designed to provide the high-quality products and services that clients have come to trust with the PQS brand.

With over 25 years of sales experience in the power quality industry, he has managed and designed hundreds of mission critical systems for all types of projects including data centers, industrial, government, education, healthcare, etc. In addition to having worked with a large number of the Fortune 1000, Kyle has worked with some of the largest data center providers in the world, located here in the Carolinas.

Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife, their son, and his dog, in Charlotte. When not in the office, he loves to escape to the golf course or to the Caribbean to scuba dive.

Vice President – Operations
As the leader of the PQS service division, Steve works closely with facility managers, IT directors and data center manager to help them procure and service IT infrastructure solutions that power, cool and protect their mission critical equipment and data.  Before joining PQS in 2011, Steve worked at Eaton Corporation both as an inside sales engineer, as well as a customer support representative managing service requests after graduating from NC State University.  His time spent at Eaton as a pre-sales technical resource for rep channel partners was the perfect launch board to succeed at PQS, where he supports Fortune 100 companies, colocation providers, local government and school systems, and beyond in the Carolinas.

Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, their 5 children, and their 2 dogs in Raleigh. When he is not meeting with a client, you can find him coaching youth baseball or participating in the YGuides program with his kids

SC/Western NC Territory Manager
Donnie brings over two decades of experience in the electrical industry, with the first ten years spent working for Gregory Electric – Project management before joining the PQS team. (Donnie hold the distinction of being Kyle’s first hire and recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary in 2016.)  Working with end users, engineers, contractors, and distributors in South Carolina and the Western North Carolina region, he is heavily involved in various types of mission critical projects from bid/spec to design-build.

Donnie enjoys spending time with his wife, their 2 daughters, and their two dogs in Greenville, SC. When he is not closing deals, you will find him on the golf course, or spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Eastern NC/SC Territory Manager
Dwayne brings over two decades of overall experience in the mission critical industry. He previously managed UPS sales for Cyberex, the Southeast Region for Active Power, and the Power Quality Sales effort at Gregory Poole CAT.  He joined PQS full-time in 2011 covering Eastern North Carolina from Chapel Hill to the Carolina coast.  Dwayne works on many projects in the tech-rich, RTP area where companies like IBM, NetApp, EMC, and SAS abound.

Dwayne enjoys spending time with his wife, their 3 daughters and grandchildren.   When he is not calling on customers, you will find him volunteering in men’s ministry organizations or enjoying the Wilmington area beaches and waterways.

Central NC Territory Manager
Donald manages the Central North Carolina territory from Gastonia to Mebane, including Winston-Salem and Greensboro. He has more than 30 years of experience in the electrical industry and an abundant knowledge of UPS systems.  His career includes 18 years of manufacturing, service, and sales & marketing experience with Exide Electronics and Eaton Corporation.  After that and prior to joining PQS in 2012, he held sales positions at two other manufacturer’s rep firms selling power quality equipment and services.

On weekends Donald enjoys spending time with his wife in Concord, NC, and with their 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren in Raleigh, NC.  You will find him looking for every opportunity to get outside, whether it be for yardwork, exploring the woods or getting close to a lake or the ocean.  Donald also enjoys woodworking, making outdoor furniture for family and friends.


Service Sales Manager

Alex initially joined PQS as an intern, but after he graduated in 2017 from North Carolina State University, he came on board full-time as an inside sales service account representative.  In a short amount of time, he is quickly building a strong foundation in his understanding of power and cooling equipment, along with full service contracts, preventive maintenance, and battery replacements.

In his spare time Alex enjoys playing golf, vacationing at the beach with friends and family, and watching sports of all kinds (Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Atlanta Braves, NC State).
